Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) at the University of Maryland serves as the governing body for 20 nationally affiliated men's fraternities. With a commitment to leadership, scholarship, service, and brotherhood, the IFC provides a community where students can grow personally and professionally while building lifelong connections. The council supports its chapters through leadership development, community engagement initiatives, and risk management education, while also coordinating recruitment efforts and representing member organizations to the university and broader community. Many of the fraternities affiliated with the IFC have houses located on Fraternity Row or in the Old Town College Park area.

Whether you're interested in joining an IFC fraternity, collaborating with the IFC, or learning more about fraternity life at UMD, we invite you to explore the values, traditions, and opportunities that make our community unique.

Visit our IFC Student Leadership page for more information on the current leadership of the IFC and Chapter President listing of each organization.
